Every year, human rights defenders from all over the world join the Movies That Matter Festival Ideation Sessions to represent the human rights work in their films.<\/p>\n

At our ideation sessions, participants and human rights defenders watch the films together and explore the complexities of the challenges beyond the movies.<\/p>\n

After a special movie screening with the director and actors, and a group dinner, we unpack the issues together and spark innovative discussions and solutions to these problems.<\/p>\n

The ideas, networks, and opportunities created during these sessions encourage new innovations to grow from these films.<\/p>\n

There are no costs associated with taking part in the Movies That Matter Ideation Sessions, though places are limited to just 10 guests per movie and therefore fill up quickly.<\/p>\n

For each of the movies we discuss the presented challenges with the activists and directors to assemble a list of participants with expertise that we believe would most benefit the discussions and brainstorming sessions.<\/p>\n
