Counter-Summit for Peace and Justice
About the Counter-Summit
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, we are organizing a Counter-Summit in The Hague as an alternative to the NATO War Summit that will take place a few days later. While heads of state meet behind closed doors to discuss military escalation, we will bring together activists, researchers, politicians, artists, and engaged citizens for an international conversation about peace and justice.
The Counter-Summit offers space for analysis, connection, and action. It is a place to share knowledge, learn from each other’s experiences, and develop collective alternatives to mainstream war narratives.
Program
The day will feature panel discussions, lectures, and workshops on topics such as:
- NATO’s role in current global conflicts
- The consequences of militarization for climate, democracy, and human rights
- International solidarity and peace movements
- Strategies for action and cooperation
